Police Visit

On Monday we were super lucky to get a visit from our local police officer. As part of our 'Keeping Ourselves Safe" unit we have been learning all about what to do if there was ever an emergency! Matt taught us lots about what to do if there is ever an emergency. We learnt all about what Police Officers do and why we would need to ring the police. Miss Grigg even got to try on some handcuffs (don't worry she hadn't really been naughty)

Dakota and Kieran got to dress up just like a police officer, they raced really quickly to get into the clothes, they were a little bit too big though! Eeekk!
As part of our homework it's really important that we know our address so that if there is ever an emergency we can tell people where we are so that they can send help! Dayton also tested some handcuffs, they are very strong!

Check out a few pictures of below!

  1. Kia ora Rooms 1, 2 and 3,

You are very lucky to have a visit from the police. It looked like you had lots of fun learning about what policemen do. We thought it was very funny seeing you dress up as police officers and trying on handcuffs. Did you get to go into the police car and turn on the siren?

Thank you for sharing with us!
