Yoga

It has been so hot here at school that lots of us have been getting really tired in the afternoons. To help us relax and energise our bodies a little we have been trying to do Yoga each afternoon. Check out some of our moves!

  2. Kia ora Team Piwakawaka,

My name is Ella and I’m from one of our writing classes in Team Kotuku, Parkview.
I really like how you guys put a lot of effort into the Yoga positions, (from the photos I saw.) Did you know that this blog post encouraged me to start doing yoga poses and getting into groups with some of my friends, we also really enjoyed ourselves, it was probably the funnest thing we have done together in a while. Thanks guys. Was it fun? Did any of you fall over? How long did you do it for? Have you ever thought about putting in some more pictures, and putting subtitles underneath each picture telling your bloggers what you are doing in each picture. Thanks very much for posting this and showing your bloggers what you do. It's very interesting.

Would you like to see my blog?:

    I’m Alyssa from Team Kotuku.
It looks like you all had lots of fun doing yoga together. This made me remember when I was little and before my swimming lessons we would stretch our legs. You taught me that yoga can help get ready for stuff and calm you down on hot days.Next time you could add more info and pictures you could even try new moves.

  7. Kia ora Piwakawaka,

My name is Sari from one of the Kotuku writing classes. I really like the idea of afternoon yoga. It sounds like it would help you relax and those moves are impressive. It reminds me of when I was little and we used to do jump jam in the mornings. It really used to wake me up and get my brain working. Maybe next time you could write about how to do the yoga poses instead of only having pictures.

    Thanks Sari

  10. Moving from one task to another, or having several simultaneous activities, can be exhausting. But unlike what many might think, a few minutes of stretching the body and relaxing the mind allow to recover freshness and brightness, even after a day of hard work. Sometimes fatigue occurs on the mental plane, so yoga helps restore lost energy.
